It's been a long road to get here, a road littered with classes, and workshops, and conferences...rehearsals, and research, and seven days last fall of having NO VOICE WHATSOEVER, and doctors' appointments, and scopes down my throat, and now it's actually happening! On June 11th, I will perform my first solo cabaret set ever at the Troubadour Wine Bar in Minneapolis. Adri Mehra and I will each perform an hour long set with the theme "Songs We Can't Sing at Karaoke."
Adri and I have been singing karaoke together for the past four years, and as avid karaoke-goers, we have tried, in vain, to find certain beloved songs listed within the giant books our karaoke hosts bring with them. Many to no avail.
Now, the time has come for us to unleash these songs unto the world. To let loose.
